This Aliner is a 2015 but it is BETTER than new. I have set this Aliner up for extended boondocking creating many new features. I had a full size house mattress in back. I used the diner for seating. It looks, smells, and operates almost like new. A couple small scrapes outside and plastic peeling off the table top edges slightly in places are in photos. Other than that it's new.
Aliner gives two poorly positioned, awkward lights. I wired convenient switches and a light near peak to light the living area.
Installed USB charging outlets; one for computer.
Did much work to fridge to solve OEM design cooling issues.
Aliner gives very minimal storage. I installed a new compartment door in left front, created sweet drawers where the microwave was and an extended countertop and bins over front left bench. Bins are easily removable if you want to use this area for the bench. I have created some hanger rods for hanging clothes and support some custom shelves.
Aliner’s furnace is LOUD. Can't sleep if it’s cold out. I installed a furnace inside of a soundproofed box and ducted the output. It's nice to be warm AND sleep!
New brakes with wireless brake controller.
New axle reconfigured to give softer ride than stock.
Tires a couple years old. Full size spare and compact spare.
Bike rack receiver.
Indoor/outdoor cookstove with quick disconnects. Aliner plumbing very awkward. Moved supply pipe to counter behind sink.
Aliner uses a fabric hinges for the dormers. I’ve replaced them with metal hinges and replaced gas struts to be more appropriate strength. With the dormers open, even a 90 degree day is pleasant if there is any breeze. The amount of ventilation is wonderful. The trouble is privacy; it leaves you pretty exposed. If you close the curtains on the dormers then you lose ventilation. I have created some curtains for the outside edges of the dormers. These hang by velco and give lots of privacy yet allow a free flow of air.
I’ve put in the biggest battery I could fit in the space where it goes with a 65 watt converter.
100 watt solar panel system has plenty of power for frige and lights for as long as you want in the summer. It isn’t sufficient for winter because the furnace fan uses more battery than the collector can supply. A little generator for the winter.
