This is the "Classic" of all Sportsmobiles. It was built for the 2000 LA Auto Show and featured on the cover of 4Wheeler Magazine. One owner since 2001. It has

• Quigley after-market 4-wheel drive, Warn locking hubs,

• heavy duty steel bumpers w/ diamond plates, 12,000lb Warn winch,
• off-road Hella lights front & rear, off-road jack & multi-tool, 16-inch 8-spoke custom wheels w/ low mileage off-road tires,
• rear swing-out spare tire rack & cargo cage, and large custom cargo roof rack.
• The penthouse pop-up roof provides a low profile on the road that lifts manually to provide stand-up headroom & sleeping loft for two.
• All leather seats with embroidered Sportsmobile logos, swivel passenger chair with armrests,
• lots of auxilary lights, cabinets on doors,
• electric fridge, two-burner propane stove, complete w/ vent fan, plug-in inverter,
• sink w/ shower attachment, Porta-potty its own cabinet w/ vinyl cover doubles as an ottoman,
• rear seat for three folds flat to double bed,
• closet, food & cooking cabinets.
• It has a nearly-new Lifeline deep-cycle house battery for extended off-the-grid camping, as well as standard 30-amp ac hook-ups.
• It carries a 10-gallon propane tank, 12-gallon fresh water tank, & two diesel fuel tanks w/ automatic transfer system, totaling 54 gallons.
• It has heavy-duty tow hitches front & rear, and a full Warn recovery kit w/ straps, chain & pulley (see photo).
• It has brand new brakes, heater system, & engine battery.
• I recently installed a top-end Alpine stereo & map system w/ cellphone USB ports and Bluetooth connections. This is mated to a Kenwood amplifier and speaker system. It even has a CB radio.

The downside is the roof: like all of the penthouse Sportsmobiles, the pop-up roof rubbed against the steel roof, resulting in rusted sections on the side & rear. The roof was painted w/ a rubberized bed-liner coating, but the rust ate holes anyway. With this reasonable mileage and all these extras, this vehicle would be priced much higher, but it needs work on the roof.
