<p>We have loved every minute traveling in our diesel 2015 Coachmen Prism Motorhome; however, lifestyle changes just happen as we grow older. Most people can understand the need to do something that makes sense but is a bit bittersweet. For my wife and I, we are living in that moment.</p><p>We both love to fish and used to spend the summers in Alaska in our previous RV, a 34’ 5th Wheel. The 8 great summers spent catching Salmon and Halibut were terrific.</p><p>When we purchased this Prism in 2017, we knew the smaller size would be a much better fit for us. Over the past several years, we have enjoyed many lakes in NM, CO, AZ, and WY. In 2018, we took a cross country trip from NM and through the South, then up the East coast to Quebec City and across the Southern Canadian Provinces, traveling comfortably and rather inexpensively at nearly 20 MPG with all the comforts of home.</p><p>After purchasing our Prism from Camping World in May, 2017 we replaced the engine in May of 2018 (16,000 miles) due to a defect. Since that time, we have logged about 14,000 miles. We have all maintenance records for the prospective buyer to review, and all work was done at Mercedes Benz of Albuquerque. The current odometer reading is 30825.</p><p>This Coach has all the important features to make life comfortable while traveling. It is very economical and easy to drive. Because it is only 24’ long, it maneuvers easily, is simple to park, drive, turn, etc. Both my wife and I love to drive it, and we kept it under cover for a number of years, so it is excellent shape. The weather here in New Mexico means that the temperature and humidity levels keep vehicle pristine.</p><p>We have loved this Coach and it shows.We sincerely hope to find it a great home where it can be appreciated.We will keep the memories and think it will create many more for the buyer.</p><p>NADA estimate recommends $73,660 low retail and $88,736 average retail. (See photos.) Our sale price, 74,999, takes into account the buyer’s purchase of new tires and engine battery. Tires are fine with good tread however I would suggest that the buyer consider buying all new tires. It will certainly be drivable for many more miles, as is. As a retired engineer, I tend to think about these types of things.</p><p>This is a great vehicle with all the bells and whistles.</p><p>Take a serious look at this one. <p>Currently located in the Kansas City Area, not Box Elder, SD. </p><p>This second owner 4-slide coach has a unique set of factory features and 2nd owner upgrades. Both owners used this 404RB for full-time traveling/living. The coach was built with a 400hp Cummins ISL-10 engine with 1250 lbs. of torque! Most 404RBs were equipped with 340 or 360hp engines with 850 lbs. of torque. Towing a Jeep Grand Cherokee in western mountain ranges was easy for this rig. The second owner added four no-maintenance Battle Born lithium house batteries in April 2021 (10-year warranty) and a safety Plus Steering Assist. In June 2022, a larger front anti-sway bar was added by Roadmaster at their factory in WA along with a previously non-existent rear anti-sway bar. This upgrade improved handling to a level not thought possible on this coach. The second owner painted much of the inside in lighter colors and recovered the valances in the living area. In the past two years all slide toppers were replaced and the patio awning was replaced with one that has a zip-on sun screen for more shade while parked in any direction. The kitchen ceiling vent was upgraded to a MaxAir remote control unit. The sofa bed was replaced with theatre seating to watch your smart tv mounted on a televator. A new Splendide clothes dryer was installed in July 2024 at the Coachman factory. No coach is perfect and this one has marks from low hanging branches and minor moulding and sidewall damage from a rubber coated gate post. The roof looks like new and was recently re-sealed. The front left tire rim has a small gouge from a short guide post scraped at 1-2 mph in a campground. The dash HVAC blows hot and cold air. The vent control for floor, dash, and defrost settings does not work, but the owner fixed all vent doors open for now so air comes out all vents and is running down a new control panel-the factory did not have any. The captains chairs have after-market covers due to the degrading pleather common in these vintage coaches. Also, the arms on the other loveseat need recovering for the same reason. All repair, annual maintenance, and upgrade records go with the coach. Date code on the Michelins tires is 3620. This unique coach is priced to sell.</p>

It's an amazing motorhome and we will miss it for sure. </b></p><p><b style="color: rgb(87, 87, 87);">It has 3.5L diesel money-saver engine that works perfectly. Officials say it may be up to 18 mpg , but in my experience I could have 16 on 60 m/h slightly pressing to gas pedal for acceleration not trying my best though. If you drive on interstate with 80 m/h speed limit it reduces to 11.8 (in my experience). So medium was 14.4 mpg which is good in my opinion. </b></p><p><b style="color: rgb(87, 87, 87);">Brakes, transmission and other technical parts work fine. Oil was changed every 7000 miles. Service was done in June (transmission oil, some other smalls parts were replaced). New awning, roof was resealed too. </b></p><p><b style="color: rgb(87, 87, 87);">Door speakers in front were upgraded to new kickers with good mids and highs. </b></p><p><b style="color: rgb(87, 87, 87);">Has 3,600 watt propane Cummins generator that was serviced recently , works with no issues and has only 440 hours on it.</b></p><p><b style="color: rgb(87, 87, 87);">Rear slideout for full queen size very comfortable bed and another slideout on the driver side gives you more space on reclining sofa (2 chairs) and "living room" area.
