We source some of the more expensive components directly from manufacturers. Two small 5 watt fans replace two $400 Maxxair rooftop units, and a 12V custom water heater consumes only 200 Watts versus 1600 Watts when in heating mode. If you have shore power, then the van provides up to 800 BTU of cooling. In place of a $4,000 rooftop unit we use a $250 consumer air conditioner. Both the ventillation system and AC unit free up roof space for 440 Watts of solar panels. Because van's system on average only consume only 70 Watts, at the end of every day the van's batteries are typically 100% charged for overnight service.

WORRY FREE ELECTRONICS
In place of multiple expensive LiOn 12V batteries, custom wire harnesses, and a dozen electronic components (inverter, MPPT solar Controller, and fuses. we just install a simple switch panel consisting of a few switches, relays, and circuit breakers. All the rest of the electronics are replaced by a removable power generator that plugs in with just three power cords. We use Ecoflow generators that range from 900 to 6000 Watt hours. If it fails within 3 years you can replace it under warranty. 440 Watts of solar and 600 watts of charge from alternator keeps system fully charged.
