Towable RVs Help RV Industry Make Comeback

As the economy show signs of recovery, the RV industry appears to be making a modest comeback.

The Southbend Tribune reports on RV manufacturers expanding production and how startup RV companies are offering new models. RV industry workers hope to find new opportunities with the rebound.

According to story, the RVIA reports RV shipments for June were the highest since August 2008 with shipments for 2010 predicted to increase as high as 24 percent.

The recovery of RV sales seems to be strongest for manufacturers of towable RVs. One example is Evergreen Recreational Vehicles, a company that offers environment-friendly towable RVs.

  1. I had a bad thermostat on a brand new viking trailer that I paid cash for. It took over two weeks and still no parts from coachman that makes it. They told me to get a heater while they worked on getting the part. I asked for a loaner trailer as they said they had none. A Thermostate is a generic deal that works on any trailer. They just wanted the part from the manufactuere that wouldn't return they're call. So they passed the bad business on to me. I've called in for several days to get a response and was told several times it's on the way but when presured they didn't return the call. Great deal but they can't back up the warranty of the products they sell and can't back it up. As I was told that I can buy a space heater to hold me over till they get the parts in. Not sure on what you would say but it's a piss poor manager to say.
