According to the travel channel Boyd’s Key West Campground is one of the top ten RV parks to visit. But I bet you’d like to see for yourselves. That’s right folks, it’s time to pack up the RV and hit the road!
Boyd’s is a fully loaded RV resort with a boat ramp and docks, a heated pool with poolside Tiki and big screen, game room, ATM, 4 clean bath houses, dump station and pumpout service, dishwashing stations, and a convenience store. Right on the city limits of Key West, Boyd’s offers full hookup oceanfront campsites with CATV for reasonable rates.
Aside from top notch campgrounds and beautiful weather that varies by only 12 degrees year-round, camping in Key West also offers hundreds of things to see and do. Visitors can explore the local culture and enjoy a variety of water sports, golf, and outdoor excursions.
Key West offers many organized events. One of the most well known, the Key West Fishing Tournament (KWFT), runs from March 17th until November 30th. The competition is open to all ages and targets over 40 different fish species. In its 47th year, the KWFT gives both locals and visitors a chance to hook a monster and reel in a variety of prizes. Just one of the other events in Key West this summer is the Key West Lobsterfest. The fest kicks off with a party at Durty Harry’s Entertainment Complex followed by the Duval Crawl, a street fair, and of course a lobster brunch.
It wouldn’t be Key West without some outdoor adventure. One must visit destination is Everglades National Park. With 1.5 million acres to explore, Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States and is chock full of opportunities for outdoor adventure. Another great place to visit while you’re in Key West is Dry Tortugas National Park. Visitors can reach the islands via seaplane, ferry, or private charter. Whether you want to explore historic Fort Jefferson, immerse yourself in an incredible marine habitat on a snorkeling trip, or enjoy world-class bird watching, Dry Tortugas National Park is perfect for you.
As you can see Key West has the keys to a perfect RV adventure for any traveler. For more information or to plan your trip to Key West visit http://www.fla-keys.com/ .
