<p><b>Update, 17 June</b>: we've decided to start decreasing the asking price as we continue to polish and detail. It's June (the same month we found Rosie), summer is nearly here, and she's ready to be on the road again!</p><p>~~~</p><p>In June of 2021, we bought our beautiful red 2016 Winnebago Travato 59G Diesel with the proceeds from the sale of our home and became her third owners. The first two owners had taken good care of her and each made their own modifications, as we did, too. More on that below.</p><p>Between that time and now, we've traveled 30,000 miles and through more than 40 states and a couple of Canadian provinces with her strong, steady diesel engine.</p><p><br></p><p>We’re now in a new chapter of our lives, and Rosie is ready for her new people.</p><p>The previous owners had added a solar panel to the roof.</p><p>Modifications we made include removing the awning (there had been issues with the awning on the Travato opening while in motion;), and the electric step (it needed replacing at about 75K miles, and we decided to go with a folding stepstool instead of replacement).</p><p>We also added more storage (removing the TV, and converting the wardrobe to adjustable shelves) with the help of a skillful van-converting friend, and added a Landed Gear spare tire mount and lock to the back. We’ve added Havelock wool insulation inside the door panels, and bought some higher-end custom window covers from Vanmade Gear.</p><p>We also upgraded to some sweet Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tires.</p><p><br></p><p>Each owner, we’ve found, adapts these vehicles to suit their needs, and we expect whoever owns this campervan next will do the same.</p><p><br></p><p>We’ve never driven Rosie in the winter months. She’s been plugged in, off the road through the winters. And she’s always had regular oil changes and service as needed. We’ve kept the service records for you.</p><p>Price:</p><p>Mods make it a bit more challenging to determine price, as what’s great for one isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. We got a range of responses when we asked around: from mid-50’s (no electric awning or step) to upper 60’s, the latter because the vehicle has been well cared for, the diesel is a unicorn that greatly improves fuel economy and engine life, and the "puzzle bed" - a dinette that converts into additional sleeping space - is no longer available in the newer models.</p><p>This campervan can sleep two adults and two smaller kiddos (or two big dogs;) comfortably.</p><p><br></p><p>We want to see her go to another grateful owner, and soon, to enjoy travel together!</p>

This is a like new unit. Could be a couples motorhome or great for a family of 4. It has a generator and invertor so you are able to watch tv and make coffee while going down the road. This is a modest length for a class A motorhome and it is pretty easy to navigate even with a tow vehicle.<br /><br />We purchased and went on two fairly local weekend trips. <br /><br />It works wonderful! We looked at Tiffin, Newmar and Entegra. However, when we stepped into a Dutch Star, the high-quality Newmar interior workmanship cinched the deal!</p><p><br></p><p>We found the top Newmar reputation to be true, thanks in part to the Amish ownership and construction. And, nice folks!</p><p><br></p><p>RV interiors are small to start with, and dark colors make the interior look like a cave. THIS coach has a light, bright and cheery Carmel Glazed Cherry wood interior and off-white upholstery.</p><p><br></p><p>The floorplan for this unit is spacious with its full-length slideout that can be seen in our photos.</p><p><br></p><p>The single largest after-market upgrade that we made was the solar panel system with Lithium-Ion batteries (see our photos).</p><p><br></p><p>This solar energy system was purchased and installed by Solar Energy Systems, located about three miles from the factory. They supply solar systems directly to Newmar. This is the premier RV solar system supplier and installer in the U.S. Our system cost us just over $36,000.</p><p><br></p><p>We love this solar energy system. If you're in the market for "the" motor coach but you don't want to spend 1-3 million than you need to take a strong look at the 2012 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 36LA. <br /><br />We searched for 2 years to find a low mile 2012 36LA. The 2012 36LA consists of the tried and proven Ford F53 chassis that is maintained and parts available throughout the US. Along with the "documented" Ford V10 engine. Once again, that is maintained and parts available throughout the US. You will never need to worry about your coach having an issue and having it sit for weeks on end to try and find someone that can "accuratly identifiy an issue, find the part and fix your coach in a time and financially resonable cost". <br /><br />Tiffin was producing the best coaches they ever did on this awesome chassis and drivetrain between 2012 - 2013.<br /><br />Over the summer of 2023 I spent over $30,000 on updating our coach. From the custom upholstered sleep sofa and wall hugging recliner that have never been sat in, the 3 rebuilt fantastic fans, cleaned, washed and conditioned fiberglass roof, new convection/microwave, the factory supplied Wipers, USB chargers, 10 gallonHot Water Heater, all Ceiling Lights, CO and Propane Detector, all drivetrain fluids changed and filters less than 1,000 miles ago. Motor Oil & Filter, Transmission Oil & Filter, Rear Axle assembly Fluid, Engine Coolant, P/S Fluid. The massive awning and both slide toppers where washed and reconditioned in late 2023. The list goes on and on and on. <br /><br />The 36LA has what we believe to be the most user friendly and well thoughout interior in any coach at any price. The salon's 1 of the 3 flat screen TV's sits directly accross from the custom sofa, custom recliner and electric fireplace. There's no need for a chiropractor after watching the TV for 30 minutes with you neck turned 90 degrees! The bath and a half offers the master full bath after the master bedroom. So when the bedroom door is shut, those in the master bedroom have the full bath at their disposal and guests or family have the half bath righ off of the salon. <br /><br />The just completly serviced Onan 7KW generator has 1 hour on it since the service. It starts immedialty just like the engine. This is the coach for weekend getaways to full time living. <br /><br />The list of updates goes on and on.<br /><br />We are not selling our coach out of a desire to move into something else. I don't know what we would replace a 2012 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 36LA with, short of spending 1,000,000+.
